A morning dedicated to issues of environmental sustainability and awareness for future generations: the ECA Technology company’s widespread reforestation project continues on Kennedy Street in Grisignano in cooperation with the City of Grisignano.
The planting of the tree species along the cycle path will be attended by one of the owners of ECA Technology s.r.l. Elisa Beniero, the staff of ECA Technology and the start-up BeLeafing. Japanese privet trees, a fast-growing evergreen species, were planted. The species reaches up to 5 metres and produces white, fragrant inflorescences.
“Fighting the challenge of air and environmental pollution,” says Elisa Beniero, “has always been our mission, we have been doing this for over 40 years by offering technologies without the use of fossil fuels, and we continue to do so through participatory actions exactly like this one. The tree is a concrete and tangible symbol that certifies the commitment we make and the values we as a company want to pass on to the community and future generations’.
To mark its 40th anniversary in 2021, ECA Technology embarked on the #ECAGreen initiative, focused on the participatory and widespread reforestation of Vicenza, in collaboration with Beleafing, a young start-up of urban and landscape architects from the IUAV University of Venice.
Certain fact is the polluted air we breathe every day, and this is shown by the alarming data of the last year, especially in the Vicenza area. This is because of the use of fossil fuels such as boilers, stoves, fireplaces, etc., exhaust gases caused by urban traffic and industrial productions.
The company, which already combats the current situation through the implementation of photovoltaic systems, heat pumps and air purification, decided to do more and to dedicate its anniversary to an innovative project involving institutions, companies and private individuals with a single goal: the protection of the environment through the choice of renewable technologies. In fact, during 2021, with the purchase of each ECA Technology product, the donation of a tree for the reforestation of highly polluted green areas was matched. This is to contribute to the reduction of particulate matter and CO2 and to increase biodiversity in nature.
